That will be followed by Symphony No. 2 of Chelsea-resident Mohammed Fairouz, whom the BBC World News proclaims as “one of the most talented composers of his generation.” And how could a season of things we love not include the monumental Symphony No. 5 of Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Saturday’s concert will include a pre-concert discussion panel at 7:15 for all ticket holders. Sunday’s concert will be more kid-friendly and less formal, including educational notes about the pieces (some of which will be abbreviated).
