Join us for New Worlds, New Sounds!
Our third annual Pride concert takes us on a whirlwind tour -- both musically and geographically. We feature the world premiere by one of QUO's own: Bjorn Berkhout's Overture for a Summer Evening provides the sounds of the 21st century. This concert also includes Grofe's portrait of the 'Big River' written during the Jazz Age, and Dvorak's beloved tribute to the new world from the late 19th century.
Featured on this concert:
- Berkhout: Overture for a Summer Evening World Premeiere
- Grofe: Mississippi (A Tone Journey)
- Dvorak: Symphony No. 9, From the New World
Time: Thursday, June 21, 8:00 PM
Location: Church of the Holy Apostles, 296 Ninth Avenue (at 28th Street), New York City
