Join us for World Beats!

QUOs fifth anniversary concert, and the final concert in our Voyages series, is World Beats. The concert features Shostakovich's Overture on Russian and Khirghiz Folk Themes and Takemitsu's Two Cine Pastrali. We conclude the concert and our fifth season with Copland's brilliant Symphony No. 3, a powerful work in which Copland borrows his own theme Fanfare for the Common Man in a rousing finale. Long considered the best American symphony, this work by one of our openly gay heros is a fitting climax to our year of exporing music from around the world, and a great way to begin pride weekend in NYC.

Tickets are $20 ($10 for students and seniors), but you can purchase tickets online through June 20 at a 25% discount.

Time:June 21, 8:00 PM
Location: Church of the Holy Apostles, 296 Ninth Avenue (at 28th Street), New York City
